Girona, 11th October, 2017

The Costa Brava Yacht Ports new brand was introduced as part of the Barcelona International Boat Show. It is aimed at promoting the ports in Girona and on the Costa Brava in the super yacht nautical sector. The Costa Brava Yacht Ports specific catalogue was also presented at the boat show, which is a 21-page publication containing information about the area and the tourist attractions of the destination, as well as details about the facilities in the ports that take super yachts.

The aim of Costa Brava Yacht Ports is to promote the public and private port facilities of Roses, L’Estartit, Palamós and Sant Feliu de Guíxols, to diversify the port activities with new lines of products and to pool efforts to recruit and attract the yacht market to the Girona coast. In the future, it envisages incorporating other private facilities along the Girona coastline.

Ports de la Generalitat, the Costa Brava-Girona Tourist Board, Palamós Town Council, Roses Town Council, Sant Feliu de Guíxols Town Council and Torroella de Montgrí-L’Estartit Town Council are part of the project and the brand.

During the summer, the Mediterranean is a point of attraction for super yachts. The yacht nautical sector is characterised by tourists with high purchasing power who visit the Catalan coast attracted by the climate, the landscape, the cultural heritage, the gastronomy and the wide range of leisure proposals. The Costa Brava has the potential, the infrastructures and the necessary services to handle the yacht market.
