A new Juli Soler i Lobo honorary award is created for gastronomy.

Girona, 31st July 2015

The Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board wanted to create this new honorary award dedicated to the world of gastronomy as a tribute to Juli Soler i Lobo’s influence and relevance in the culinary revolution of Girona and Catalonia, as well as to his crucial role as partner at El Bulli in Roses alongside chef Ferran Adrià. The award, founded in 2012 and similar to the Jordi Comas i Matamala honorary award, aims to recognise people, projects, companies or institutions that work to develop gastronomy and simultaneously promote the Costa Brava and Pirineu de Girona tourism brands.

Girona’s G! Awards celebrates its tenth anniversary this year with eight awards and prizes. The prizes will be awarded in December 2015 at a ceremony for the tourism sector, an event that will bring together over 300 people, including government officials, representatives from the tourism sector and the media.
