From November 5th – 7th, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board took part in the World Travel Market trade show, in London, on the Catalonia stand in conjunction with the municipalities of Blanes and Lloret de Mar. Here they held meetings with some thirty tour operators, including Thomas Cook, Jet2Holidays and TUI, airline companies, like Jet2, travel websites and representatives of the media. In addition, during the WTM, statistics and new forecasts for the UK market for 2019 were disseminated.
Between the 12th and 14th of last month, the Tourist Board participated through the Club Unique Premium in the second edition of the specialist luxury travel trade show Emotions in Barcelona, in order to promote the range of upmarket tourist products and services available at destinations in Girona. The entity had a special Living stand from which it attended and held interviews with 46 representatives from agencies and companies in the sector, most of them being from the US and Europe. The trade show was also attended by members of the Club, including PGA Catalunya Resort, Sallés Hotels and Madrid & Beyond.
Lastly, on November 27th – 29th the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau attended the professional trade show IBTM World, in Barcelona, in conjunction with the Catalonia Convention Bureau and various companies and entities from the Girona business tourism sector. In the course of the show, the CBGCB held about fifty interviews with companies, travel agents, event planners and travel managers from central European countries interested in the destination.
