The new disruptive tourist experience to travel around Catalonia, Spain and Europe.
Inside Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees quiz is an interactive product designed to attract the attention of curious audiences, whether they are travel agents, tour operators, opinion leaders or end consumers. It is a surprising and innovative way to communicate the values of the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees brands, their duality, close ties and complementarity through gamification. This project also seeks to promote the variety of possibilities and ways of enjoying tourism offered by Girona’s destinations.
The quiz is presented inside a 33 m3 cube in a ten-minute session or, in the full version, a thirty-minute session. It is based on the idea of a game show in which the audience have to answer a series of questions using different senses. Users need to employ their senses of sight, hearing and smell to respond to different questions about the destination and its wide range of tourism options. The questions are linked to videos (image and voice) which develop the answers. The content showcases different aspects of the destination, focusing on its three strategic tourism products: culture, nature, and wine and gastronomy.
Inside Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees quiz is a free travelling activity available in four languages, making it easily exportable. It is aimed at small groups of six people maximum, in order to encourage participation. This initiative allows the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board to introduce new promotional formats to engage different audiences and, at the same time, capture and expand new contacts for future electronic marketing actions.
Inside Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees quiz began touring after participating in the Vakantiebeurs Utrecht fair, being held in the Netherlands from 11 to 15 January. After that, the initiative will be unveiled at the Expovacaciones fair in Bilbao before moving on to other cities.
