The Costa Brava is to host the 2020 MedCruise General Assembly

Girona, 3 October 2019

On October 2nd, during the general assembly of the Association of Mediterranean Cruise Ports (MedCruise), held in Antibes (France), it was announced that the 56th assembly will take place from May 26th to 29th 2020 on the Costa Brava, where the ports of Palamós and Roses and the tourist destination will play hosts to the event. The organisation of the assembly consolidates the international projection that the ports of Palamós and Roses, both towns and the tourist destination are acquiring within the cruise sector.

The meeting to announce the venue featured the new promotional video for the ports of Palamós and Roses and the Costa Brava destination, showing the cultural, gourmet, sports and leisure activities available in the province of Girona and was well received by all present. The forthcoming event is the result of a joint effort made by member institutions and entities of Costa Brava Cruise Ports, which applied to MedCruise to organise an assembly back in 2014 and since then have been working to make the project a reality and to ensure its success.

Consequently, the ports of Palamós and Roses and the destination will host one of the most relevant events in the European cruise industry for three days in May 2020, with the participation of a dozen companies, a hundred Mediterranean cruise ports, tour operators and tourist boards.
