Three of Girona’s natural parks receive the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism from the European Parliament in Brussels

The Garrotxa Volcanic Zone, Montseny, and the Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter natural parks received the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (CETS) from the European Parliament’s Europarc Federation on 6 December in Brussels. The event was attended by representatives from the Girona Provincial Council, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board and the Government of Catalonia.

Seventy representatives from Europe’s natural parks and journalists attended the presentation of the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees, which showcased the region’s attractions and natural, historical and tourism values at the headquarters of the Catalan government’s delegation to the European Union.
