Wine tourism activities for the summer

Girona, June 2024

The wineries along the DO Empordà wine route have programmed music, cultural, gastronomic and leisure activities to liven up the summer for residents and visitors to the Costa Brava alike.

The wineries along the DO Empordà wine route have programmed original activities such as the “Wines and music” cycle, organised by the Terra Remota winery; the first “Wine and oil tasting” cycle, organised by the Celler Cooperatiu d’Espolla; the Mas Geli event at the Mas Geli winery; and the “Bell-lloc music and wine” cycle of summer nights, organised by the Brugarol winery. In addition, the Clos d’Agon winery and the company Tela Marinera are offering “Wine tasting at sea” boat trips; the La Vinyata winery is organising a cycle of dinners with concerts or poetry readings; a monologue by Sito Fonk; a gastronomic walking tour by Iolanda Bustos at Vinyes d’Olivardots, or the Masia Sarau activity, organised by the Masia Serra winery.

In addition, companies and local councils are presenting proposals such as the tea-cum-dinner “Flavours of the land”, organised by La Cuina de l’Empordanet; the activity “The times of wine. A blind tasting at the monastery”, which, in this case, is the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes; the activity “The return of the Bibendum: wine evenings at Empúries”; the Empordà Wine Fair; the wine and gastronomy routes in Figueres, and the Wine Fair at Pals. Mas Gusó, at Sant Pere Pescador, is programming a wine tasting event conducted by Delfí Sanaüja, the Perelada winery’s enologist, and a yoga session given by Clàudia Arias.
