The Costa Brava Girona Tourism Board marked the extraordinary 2017 Michelin Guide for Spain and Portugal gala on 23 November in Girona, with a series of complementary events to communicate, disseminate and promote the region’s cuisine.

The publication of the new Michelin Red Guide as well as the 22 new chefs and restaurants awarded a coveted new Michelin star were announced the evening before the 2017 Michelin Guide for Spain and Portugal gala, which was celebrated at Mas Marroch in Vilablareix and attended by 450 four hundred elite guests, from Catalan authorities to chefs, restaurant and tourism professionals and journalists. The event concluded with a meal prepared by eight Michelin-starred Girona chefs.

The Michelin-starred restaurants in Girona for 2017 are: El Celler de Can Roca, with three stars; Les Cols i Miramar, with two stars; and Els Brancs, Les Magnòlies, Bo.TiC, Ca l’Enric, Casamar, Els Tinars, La Cuina de Can Simon, Fonda Xesc, Massana, Emporium and Ca l’Arpa with one.
