The Roca brothers promote Catalan cuisine and the DO Empordà Wine Route in New York

The fifth edition of the “Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees’ Breakfast with Stars”, an event that raises awareness about Girona cuisine, was celebrated on Monday, 13 June at New York’s InterContinental Hotel. Promoted by the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board in collaboration with the Catalan Tourist Board, the breakfast featured the presentation of the Roca brothers’ “Intangible” conference for 80 international journalists, influencers and chefs.

A presentation of the wines on the DO Empordà Wine Route was held at the hotel that same day, followed by a meeting with a tourism and travel blogger at Mono restaurant. The first presentation of the range of unique and exclusive activities and products that the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees has to offer had its turn the next day.

These events were part of the series of presentations that the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board organised for the American market to promote Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees destinations.

El Celler de Can Roca in Girona picked up the second-place title at Restaurant Magazine’s “World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2016” awards ceremony held at New York’s Cipriani Wall Street, where chef Joan Roca was named the world’s best chef.
